Timing alignment CAM verses distributor

Well number one on my distributor is where number four goes, but engine runs okay. I believe someone put a timing belt in this car and did not use the up mark on the cam shaft. Instead of tearing it down again and fixing their mistake they just flipped the distributor wiring by starting out at number four with number 1, 3, 4, 2. It works because that is how this Honda is. Yes number one is were number four should be and it runs.

Yes, this happens does the engine run okay or is there some kind of problem?

Thanks Ken yes it runs sufficient, they were lucky on this model do to even distribution on the cap design being equal. Tim
