When I installed the outer tire rod in the shaft, it rotated counterclockwise, how do I fix this?

My vehicle pulls to the right, steering wheel vibrates not bad going down the road. My brakes and rollers are new. I did get an alignment done after the brakes and rotors were done. Tires were rotated before alignment. When I put the outer tire rod in the shaft, it rotated counterclockwise on me then I turned it back. It's been doing that ever since I put the new outer tie rod end and that moved on me. I want to know do I go clockwise to bring it in to not have it drift to the right? Or is it the other way please help thank you.

Hi,

The inner tie rod will change the alignment (tow) the same as the outer. The best thing would be to have the alignment checked and adjusted. There is no way to determine how far or what direction to turn them at this point without an alignment rack. I wish I had a better answer, but anything I say would be a guess. Also, this will likely cause tire wear because the wheel will either be towed in or out.

Again, I'm sorry I can't provide a concrete answer. I wish I could.

Take care and please feel free to let me know if you have questions.

Joe
