Where exactly is this ticking coming from and when do you hear it?

Hi BRANDY,

I would first remove the serpentine belt and start the engine to determine if it is an engine noise or a problem with an accessory such as a alternator and belt tensioner. If the engine is quite spin each accessory it see if one of them ticks.

Next, look for rust colored dust on any of the brackets which would indicate breakage which can make the ticking you are describing.

Please let me know what you find

Best, Ken
