Ticking when engine is warm

I am hearing a ticking noise and it seems to get louder as the car warms up. I also notice there's a little bit too much oil in the motor.

Hi,

If the oil level is slightly high, it shouldn't cause this. Can you tell approximately where on the engine the sound is coming from?

Additionally, let me know if the check engine light stays on while the engine is running, if you notice any difference in performance, or anything you can think of that may help me diagnose the issue. If possible. record the sound and upload it for me to hear.
