I suspect at this point it is not the throttle body (captain obvious). So we need to start with checking for codes and finding out what is there that is causing them to think that the throttle body is the issue. I suspect there is a throttle position sensor code as that is common to cause limp mode and part of the throttle body.

Lastly can you get the part number and manufacturer of the throttle body just to make sure we are not getting incorrect parts?
