Hi,
When the ignition key is turned off, the power is cut from the sensor, so at this point, I don't feel that is the cause.
On the other hand, the fan relays have power at all times (at least two of them). If a relay has failed and is in the closed position, power will constantly run to the fan motor.
I attached the wiring schematic below so that you would have a reference. Here is what I need you to do. First, there are three fuses in the under-hood fuse box that I need you to remove one at a time to see which one turns off the fan. (See attached pic).
Do this and let me know which one does it so I know which relay to check.
