I have already replaced this sensor twice since thanksgiving of 2016. What would be causing the sensor to keep going out?

Which sensor? Engine coolant temperature? Ambient air temperature? How do you know it has failed?

It is the engine coolant sensor and it makes my temperature hand not work and causes my fans to run constantly whine the car is running.

Okay, that is nothing but a simple thermistor sensor. Two wires and they go directly to the PCM. Take a voltmeter and check the yellow wire for voltage. It should have five volts key on engine off. Now check the other wire, it should be a ground. There is a color change in the wires (shows orange with black stripe changing to tan) so I suspect a connector in the ground side wire, If that connection is dirty it could cause a higher resistance in the circuit and possibly damage the thermistor. The only other option would be a bad run of sensors, maybe try a different parts store?
