I have a 93 suzuki swift 1.3liter sohc. It starts fine and idles fine, but when driving it acts like it is missfiring. I have replaced the plugs, plug wires, distributer cap, and rotor and oxygen sensor. After I replaced the cap and rotor it ran fine. Then the next day it started doing it again, just not as often. I even removed the damaged catalaic convertor. Any ideas were to go next. Could it be a timing belt, or bad distributor?

I had a similar problem with my 97 Sidekick 4cyl 1.8. I tried 2 different plugs until I noticed in my manual it said to use NGK brand plugs. Since I put those in I haven't had the problem. I don't know if it will fix your problem, but it might be worth a try.

I think they are available at most auto part stores. I got mine at Advanced Auto Parts / Parts America. I know O'Reilly carries them also. Let us know how it goes.

I also had the same type of problem with my Suzuki
Forsa Turbo, but only when it got hot.
If your Swift still acts this way with new NGK plugs in it, you may have an intermittant injector if it is fuel injected.
