Whenever there is too much weight in the left rear side of the vehicle, the car comes down on that one side and scrapes my tire

It's only on that side and the less weight that's in the vehicle the better. I had two people sitting in the back and it scraped over ever little bump and turning the vehicle. It dug into my tire on the left rear side. I no longer carry passengers in the back seat.

Hi,

As far as the tire hitting, it shouldn't. There are actually stoppers that are made to prevent the tire from touching. Where is it touching the tire, on the tread or sidewall? Are the tires on the car the original size?

Take a look at the attached pic below. I circled the coil spring which is part of the strut assembly. Check to see if anything is cracked or damaged with that. Also, there is a sway bar link I highlighted. Make sure that is attached and not broken.

When looking for a broken spring, look closely usually near where it mounts for cracks.

Let me know what you find. Also, let me know what part of the tire is hitting, if the tires are larger than original size, and if the car has a lean when empty,

Take care,

Joe
