notice fuel puddling on drive under filler tube elbow. Can see gas dripping at bend in tube. Why would gas leak from this spot if tank is only half full? How is gas getting to this point if fuel level is low? Will replacing the filler tube remedy the problem or do I need to replace tubes/lines coming off the small tube that is part of the filler assembly?

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

I do not have a very detailed pic of the filler, I am wondering if it is part of the return line from the fuel rail that is leaking. With the engine running, fuel is recirculating from the injector rail back to the tank, clean down and watch for the fresh leak, you may not have to do very much, but I would want to know exactly where the leak is before starting to replace parts just for the sake of it.
