too much compression

subaru 1990 4x4 manual new motor fitted
3 months ago when putting foot on accelerator
to power past another vehicle just loses power
got compression tested running at 85psi
any ideas
mechanic who supplied and fitted motor is
not interested in looking at it even though
still under warranty
your help would be greatly appreciated
