1994 Subaru Liberty Wagon, 2.2L ~228 000km
My Subaru Liberty has a gurgling sound behind the dash on excelleration and above idle. I have found oil in coolant (and found the engine to be slightly using coolant) and suspected combustion gases leaking into the cooling system which produces the gurgle.
I have replaced the head gaskets and thermostat, flushed the cooling system and thoroughly bled system. The vehicle has improved but still has a gurgling sound and slight coolant smell when hot.
Any suggestions?
