Coolant disappearing

Hi,

This is going to sound silly but I have 91 subaru legacy 16 value 2.2 with 201856 miles on it. We recently but in thermostat because it is over heating. That didn't solve the problem. Funny thing is the coolant is disappearing ie no water coming from tail pipe, no water coming from overheat container, nor is there water on the ground anywhere. It doesn't overheat until driving. My thought is radiorator failure but not sure. What could it be?

If there's no actual leakage with the external parts within the engine cooling system.I would say its leaking internally and being burn.

You need to have a block and pressure test to find out what's happening it will tell if you have a combustion leakage-exhaust gases leaking into the cooling system.

Have you check the oil level and condition.-No milky looking stuff.
