Electrical problem
1996 Subaru Legacy 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 250K miles

I disconnected the tube running from my manifold to my airbox and installed a cone shaped cold air intake filter. While doing this I had to remove an electrical component that was plugged into the tube. Looks like a sensor. The engine is running strong but idles rough and is also running a little rough. Is this normal? Is removing this electrical component bad?

What you change was the amount of air that is going in the engine the air flow sensor is set for the original setup. With the more air the engine receives makes it idle rough.
