As spring comes and the air tempertures rise my Gl Wagon runs better. It was 95 degrees air temperture today, it ran perfect. It past the smog test todaywith great marks. The test read that it idles at 698 rpms that is great. This condition leaves every spring and comes back in the fall. Would a disgnositic engine test show the part that has failed? I checked the vacuum lines they all looked and felt very good. I would appreciate you help as this is my work car.

Hi 2slow,

Thank you for the donation.

What is the problem that you are facing? Engine stalling due to poor idling or idling speed too high?

Putting the vehicle on a diagnostic would allow you to check each component and verify if they are working within specs. It might or moight not tell you if anything is wrong of the item concerned is not controlled by the ECU.
