Have you just noticed this problem? Has it always been low or recently did this happen?

Sorry I can't answer the question as I just purchased
the car. I have been in a few outbacks and the peddle seem low in them. Also I see that statement
listed a lot on the net. The previous owner did have a brake job about 16K ago ( by a professional )
I have only driven it 3 or 400 miles.
Thnaks for your quick reply!

Yes it stops fine. The Problem! If I attempt an emergency stop and just miss the brake by a small
amount I could press the gas peddle to at least
1/2 throttle. Not to good.

Take a pedal off of another vehicle and put it on, I belive it is the style of the brake that is doing that since it stops fine, you could take it off and bend it up a bit, it will require a bit of mod's on your half.

Ive had 3 early modle fords with the same problem, I took the pedal off MIG welded a little bracket on it so it would hold the pedal out further when the brakes were applied
