Stuck in security mode

(Limited model) mechanic special stuck in security mode do not have the alarm key. The guy wants $1,300.00 for the vehicle it is in perfect shape. I am very interested in buying. I just want to know how hard it is going to be to get it running. He says he does not have the alarm key to reset it. Is it worth buying? Please l am in need of a vehicle ASAP!

Can I ask if the alarm is factory or aftermarket? If factory you will need to have it towed to a shop so they can program a new key, if aftermarket its easy to remove the alarm and be on your way. Please let me know which one you have. Cheers, Ken

It should be about $120.00, but I found this key programmer for $80.00 on amazon so you can do it yourself.
