Stuck in four wheel drive low

Was driving and it froze up, it was like the brakes locked up. I put it in four low and it moves through all five gears, but when I shift to two high or four high it is locked up. Please help.

have t-case removed something has broken inside it or shifter is hanging up between a couple of points if shifting is done via cable check for a broken or stretched cable.
