Hi guys, I have another problem for you. L have the car listed above that has a stripped bolt. After doing the timing belt and guides the chain guide bolt stripped out. This model you can access that bolt thru a plug that is part of the head. They make a replacement bolt for the guide that bolts into that plug hole. That happens to be the hole that is stripped now. My question is, do they make anything to repair those threads like helicoil or inserts? I really do not want to replace the head. Thank you in advance for any help.

Good afternoon,

Yes, a helicoil is the answer. You need to take the new bolt to a parts store or a place like Fastenal and they will measure the thread pitch for you and give you the helicoil.

You will need to drill the hole to the size of the drill bit provided with the kit. Then you have to thread the hole with the tap provided. Then you insert the helicoil and it will bring it back to the original thread size and you are good to go.
