This could be a pretty serious issue so we need to start with the basics. First let's check for codes and see what is there. Here is a guide that will help with that:

Then we need to spin the engine over by hand with a wrench on the crank pulley because I suspect the engine locked up.
If this is the case, we need to do an oil change and then pour the old oil through a coffee filter.
This will capture all the metal so we can see if this is correct.
