It makes a clicking noise or grinding noise when I turn left or right. It does not make noises while I am driving or sitting still only when I turn left or right. But it does make the noise if I am sitting still and then turn the wheel. Anyone have an idea of what it could be? Please and thanks.

Good morning.

I would have the axle shafts checked in the front. There are boots that protect the joints. When the joints wear out, they make noise indicating the axle needs to be replaced.

Okay thanks. If I jack the car up and pull the boot back will I be able to see if it is wearing down or needs replaced?

I would not recommend doing this operation.

Take it to a shop and let them check it for you. Most shops will do the checks for free.
