Suddenly volume control and up or down track control do not work.
Is there a fuse for the steering wheel button controls?

Hello,

This is common when the clock spring goes bad, I have included the instructions on how to change it in the diagrams below. Can I ask if you have had any steering work done recently? If so they can make a mistake by turning the wheel which breaks the spring. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Thank you for this information.
I haven't had any work done to the steering wheel ever.
One thing I'd like to add is that the "Info" button that displays the miles per gallon remaining etc also displays the clock stopped showing me the clock as well all at the same time.
So not sure if what could have caused the steering wheel button controls and the Info button that is not located in the steering.

Update: Issue found although not sure how it all relates.

After market back up camera had also stopped working and rather that check the clock spring first I went to the camera.
I followed the camera cable all the way to the back of the after market head unit and noticed that the RCA video cable broke because the cable connector is pushed against the frame once I turned it and pushed it again the camera started working, the clock display came back and the steering wheel controls all worked again.
I'm buying and L RCA connector adapter so the regular connector is not smashed against the frame when I install it again.

Thanks for your help.

Great find, the system must be related through the CAN. Glad you could get it fixed, that kind of problem can be tough. Please use 2CarPros anytime we are here to help.
