Have these codes. Do these indicate an issue with the clock spring behind the steering or the yaw sensor under the carpet? When I deleted them, the message went away, and all is good, but it may pop up again.

Here is what I found on the codes:

C008F-44: This code suggests a "double check fault" in the SAS.

C009404: This code might point to an "analog-digital converter internal fault" within the SAS, suggesting issues with converting the steering wheel's physical position into digital signals that the vehicle's control units can understand.

So, I would replace the steering angle sensor and then perform the relearn. Here is how the job is done. Any chance you can start letting us know what the fixed are?

Software downloading

New software can be downloaded into the steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS). When ordering software, the hardware and the software in the car is compared to the information in the Volvo central database. If the comparison is okay the software is downloaded to the control module. If the comparison between the car and Volvo central database is not okay, the database is updated with the car configuration. When this is complete the software is downloaded.

The SAS is inside the steering wheel. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
