Car would overheat sometimes but no steam or water leakage. So I replaced thermostat. When replacing it saw there was a lot of oil and grease residue around that area and below area.
After replacing I drove it 2 miles on my way back it stalled while I'm driving it. Couldn't get it to start. Then finally will start but as soon as I give it gas to go stalls out shuts down. Can't move from that spot.
I feel like the firing order got tampered with? Please help me!

Hi,

If it was running and then stalled, the firing order should be okay, but the timing belt may have slipped or broke. If you record it cranking and upload it for me to hear, in most cases, I will be able to tell if it is a timing issue.

Now, have you checked to see if there is spark and fuel to the engine? Take a look through this link. It explains the most common causes of a crank no start condition.

If the engine still sounds normal when cranking, see if it starts for a couple seconds if you use starting fluid. If it does, we know it's a fuel related issue. If it doesn't even try, then it's likely ignition related or it could have something to do with the timing belt.

Let me know.
