I'm assuming it has to do with the pass lock
for the security. I tried to do the 30 minutes m relearn, but it didn't work. When trying to reset my security light comes on the first turning to on position then goes out a second or so later, then comes back on and stays on. No matter how long the light doesn't go out. In the reset it says it will blink stay on then go out after ten minutes and then turn the key to off position 10sec back to on until light goes out again reapt. Etc. But mine just stays on. I even left it on for over an hour because I heard will reboot or Sumin after left in position for hour. Super frustrating, I've been without a vehicle for over 6 months. My buddy's mom lends me this extra van she has. We drove it up to Washington from OR. No problems, gas gauge doesn't work so you just have to estimate mileage. I fig it was getting low since the last fill up but was super tired, so I parked it at home instead of getting gas that night. The next day came out and the battery was drained because the stereo got left on, I think. And it's done this no running thing since then. I went and put like 4 more gallons in tank just to make sure it wasn't out and still just does the start and shut off. Just some more info on back story. If it helps at all, lol. I originally thought the security got tripped cause of the drained battery maybe, but this is my first GMC and pass lock nightmare, lol I don't think I have a transponder key, so it would be in the ignition correct? This is the key.

I need to ask, does the security light flash or does it go out? If you could make a short video and upload it with your response, I can tell what's going on. You may have another issue that has nothing to do with the Pass lock system, I just want to make sure we are going in the right direction to fix the car.

Thanks for the video, the fact that the security light is not flashing could mean the security system is not engaged. Also when you spray starting fluid and it run means the fuel pump might have gone out, can you here it run in the tank for about 5 seconds if you turn the key on and not crank the engine?

Yes, the fuel pump turns on a prime. Then when crank seems to run off that little but of fuel then shuts off. If I try to give it gas it seem like stalls quicker. I also replaced fuel filter and turned on to make sure was priming and it was.

Okay it could be the TPS sensor that has gone out, but we should run the codes to see what comes up. Also let's run the codes as well, here is a guide to help and I have included the TPS location so you can check it out:

Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

I checked the TPS with multi meter and it checks out all good. Power, ground, signal and when open throttle it's smooth increase. So that's all good. I really think it's the crazy pass lock. All my research and testing so far. But is there any way to test pass lock. Cause it could be my (BCM)cause the pass lock is part of my BCM I'm pretty sure. I couldn't find a separate module anywhere. Or the cylinder lock / or cylinder housing, correct? And anyway, to test these? I'm about to just try to bypass with a 2200ohm resister, and knowledge on how well that works. I've been hearing mixed reviews but can't afford the 250$-$300 bypass module.

Yes, the pass lock can be causing it, you can do a CAN scan to see what codes come up to tell for sure please check over these guides. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) from Amazon.

Here is a video to show you how:

and
