Starting/ignition

When I put the keys in the ignition and turn to "on", the instrument cluster goes haywire and if I go directly to "start" it won’t turn over and everything goes haywire. If I wait for about ten seconds, the instrument cluster normalizes and it will start. It began that way and now I have fluctuations in my rpm, going from 900 to 3500 rpm while idling.

Hello,

This is common when the instrument cluster goes out and needs to be replaced. Here is a video of the job being done on a similar car with diagrams below to show you how on our car:

You will need to record the mileage and VIN so the re-builder can program the new cluster. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.
