When I push the button it kind of feels like it's about to shut off like a hesitation. I was told by several people could be a battery that could be going dead or a sensor. I'm reaching out to you to see if I can get help.

Hi,

I would be happy to help.

Do you mean that when you press the start button, it sounds weak, the engine turns slower than normal, and seems like the starter is going to stop?

If that is what is happening, the first suspect is the battery or a loose or corroded battery terminal. Take a look through this link. It is more excessive of an issue than you have, but it explains how to inspect and clean the terminals if needed.

Next, if they are clean and tight, here is what I suggest. Follow this link to perform a basic load test on the battery. You can do this at home without any tools.

Also, if there is a nationally recognized parts store near you such as Auto Zone, they will load test the battery for you to check it free of charge.

Try those things and let me know what you find. Also, feel free to let me know if you have other questions or what I can do to help.

Take care,

Joe
