My truck does not crank. I Put a new starter and still doesn’t crank. The wire going into the starter that is activated by turning the ignition switch does not turn on. (Tested using a test light) could it be a neutral safety position sensor, or a starter relay or fuse?If this truck is even equipped with a starter relay or fuse.

There is no starter relay in this truck the wiring is pretty straight forward.

Here is a guide to help check the wiring and I have included the starter wiring in the images below:

This guide can help as well:

Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.

Replaced neutral safety position switch and still no crank, the starter is good, could it be the cable that has the purple wire or anything else that I am missing? Will post videos and pics tomorrow. Thanks

I would test for power at the yellow wire from the ignition switch and then down through the purple wire.

Please go over this guide and report back. You could have a bad ignition switch

Thanks for the video, it helps. Yes, the yellow wire from the ignition switch goes to the neutral safety switch. You must fix that wire for the starter to work.

Thanks, how can I repair it? Is there a specific part I can find or will I have to fabricate my own wire?

Yes, you will need to repair the wiring and then test for power from the switch through the starter wiring as shown in the wiring diagrams.

That yellow wire that is broken is just the airbag wire when it went off. The truck still doesn’t start or crank, replaced Neutral safety switch, replaced ignition switch, tested the starter, all terminals and cables seem to be in good condition. When I put the key in the ignition and turn it, the dash does not light up any of the check engine light, battery light, etc. Could that be the problem, if so, how can I fix it?

Please check the maxi fuse # 6 under the hood using a test light. Look at the starter and ignition switch wiring diagrams to see how the system gets power and use a test light to see where it loses it.
