This could be the solenoid but we need to start with checking for power. I suspect you will not have power to the starter in which case we have another issue. You should have 12 volts all the time on the red wire, and then 12 volts on the purple wire only when cranking. If you don't we need to go in this direction. If you do have this voltage then your starter solenoid is the issue.
However, if they bench tested it, that means they put 12 volts to the solenoid and it turned on so I assume that is okay. This is why we need to check voltage on the vehicle.
