Starter motor removal

I am trying to remove the starter motor from the vehicle listed above. I have removed the 2 plastic protectors on the bottom and the battery, battery tray and motor plastic cover on the top, but can't figure how to pull it out. I could unscrew both bolts, one from the top and one from the bottom but can't find the space to take it out. Thank you!

Hello,

We don't have this vehicle in our reference material because we mainly focus on the U.S. Market vehicle's, so I can't give you a guide on this, but sometimes when a component is hard to remove because there isn't room to remove them you might try loosening a motor mount and jacking up that side of the engine. Sometimes this will give you the room needed to remove a component. Other than that you will just have to remove components until you are able to get out.

Thanks for your answer. I could remove the fuel pump to get access, but seems to me that's too much work for a device that must surely require maintenance, there must be an easier way. Would appreciate more info from someone who knows the vehicle. Thank you very much!

Got It out! Managed to squeeze It past the gear box, towards the back of the car. Thanks for your help!

Great to hear. You would be surprised at how many vehicles are not designed to allow for easy maintenance. For instance many new engines require you to remove the intake manifold to change the spark plugs. Or like the Chevrolet Malibu that requires you remove the front bumper cover then the headlight housings if you need to change the bulbs. Or the GM Northstar engines where the starter motor is inside the engine under the intake manifold!
