My car just recently had an issue where I started it after it sat for about fifteen minutes and it immediately had low rpm, the engine sputtered, and it stalled out and shut off while idling in park. I did not have any problems restarting it, as I had to try to start it a total of three times before I got it moving again and the second time I tried to start it my engine did the same thing as the first time, but it did start. When I did get moving, I shifted into drive and the car did not immediately respond to increased pressure on the accelerator. It hit around 3000 rpm and then jumped forward and started moving as opposed to a smooth acceleration like normal. I know it has EGR problems but from what I have read that might not be the problem. I would just like to know more specifically what it might be and if there might be other factors at play?

That sounds like you need to clean the idle air control valve and the throttle body. They build up with crud over time and the ECM slowly changes to compensate for that. Then they get sticky and you get odd idle and acceleration problems. The other item to check would be the TPS, it tells the computer where the throttle plate are and if it was failing it could also cause idle and throttle issues.
