Welcome to 2CarPros. Does the check engine light come on as it shuts down, or does it just stall out? If you scan it does it show any codes or pending codes? The next step would be to determine if you are losing fuel or spark (or both) when it shuts down. A quick way to do that would be to shoot a quick spray of starting fluid into it as soon as it shuts down. If it starts or tries to start then it's more likely a fuel issue, then you need to determine if the fuel pump is working and if it has fuel pressure. If it does nothing then it's likely a spark issue. Then you would need to determine if the PCM is able to control the coils or if they are losing power.
One item that can also be an issue on these is the intake manifold, they can flex as they heat up causing a vacuum leak. For that you can spray the starting fluid around the intake as it warms up, if the rpm's suddenly rise it's an intake leak.
Another trick to isolate the problem uses a couple of cans of canned air, computer duster. If you turn them upside down the refrigerant sprays out, it can be used to spray a suspect component as soon as the engine shuts off, if it now starts without the cooling period you have found the part. Just be very careful as the spay can easily freeze your skin or cause eye damage if you are not careful!
