My car's circular lights in the speedometer don't seem to be working inside the instrument cluster.
The either picture is how it's supposed to be like.

Hey IZECOLDLIGHT,

Do you get any change when adjusting the brightness of the dash illumination?

You adjust the brightness by rotating the odometer trip reset button.

Picture below shows the process.

Yes, I already tried this. It does become bright but the thing is my circular lights have completely died out so the dimmer doesn't help in this case.

The mechanic at the Mazda dealership restarted the fuse or something but it didn't help and he said he had no idea why only the circular lights died. I do want to mention a snow plougher was cleaning by and I had snow thrown inside when I was getting out of the door, water dripping from dashboard, fuel gauge had blacked out but I managed to dry it out and get it back but this circle light never came back.

Hey IZECOLDLIGHT,

I would advise removing the instrument cluster and drying it out as best you can.

If all other functions work on the cluster and dash lighting then it would seem like you have a problem with the cluster itself.

It is possible to disassemble the cluster but I do not have any instructions for pinpointing and repairing it.

You could disassemble the cluster and inspect for corrosion damage.

It may be that a replacement cluster is the only way to repair this fault.

Hope this helps.

Regards, Joe

Or maybe I misheard the mechanic, $1,500.00 is too much.

Hey IZECOLDLIGHT,

I would find the part number and check online.
A dealer will be the best option to identify the correct part number for your vehicle.

You may be able to find a supplier of a cheaper option.

Any further questions please don't hesitate to ask.
