It will not pass smog, what should be done to get it to pass smog?

Also is it a fuel injection or carburetor injections I live in California. Do you have any one in Ceres ca or Modesto CA that fix whatever is wrong with it so it can pass smog? The engine runs so smooth you cannot hear it.
