I know it's not good to hit curbs, but I was reversing into the driveway of my new house and it's a main road so I won't try again, but I was turning wheel to back up into it and front right tire went over this curb here. Not the tallest part but the curved part that's lower. Does that do damage to tire that isn't visible or throw car out alignment? Or essentially is it similar to hitting a pothole?Thank you for the help.

"The engineers never expected that to happen so they didn't design their vehicles to stand up to that". That's the joking way I'd put it in the classroom. What you described is a normal occurrence that any vehicle should be able to withstand. Pot holes can easily inflict thousands of pounds of pressure on tires and suspension parts due to the speeds they're hit at. You can't come close to that when driving at slow speeds.
