There are services out there that claim to be able to delete the immobilizer. I haven't used this one in particular but have done similar on other vehicles. Obviously do your own checks before sending your ECU and money anywhere.

No there is no way to drill it and start it. It isn't just a mechanical switch that is needed on modern vehicles, they also need the electronic signal from the transponder in the key to tell the electronics in the immobilizer system that you are using a valid key. Both the key to physically turn the switch and the electronic validation are needed at the same time.

At the moment it is. However, if you contact a mobile locksmith, they can usually make you a working key provided you show proof of ownership. They will check the paperwork and usually contact the manufacturers and give them the VIN. Then they are told the key and code used to cut the key. Then once they have the working mechanical key, they will program it into the security system, and you have a working vehicle again.

Really even with a start and shut down right away twice until I reset the batter a new programmed key will make the car drivable again.

Yes, a good key will make it run. The start and shut off means it's a runner but it isn't seeing the proper key.
