Hello,
I would suggest to first have the fault codes read out to ensure that you are addressing the correct fault.
To replace a rear ABS wheel speed sensor you need to first jack up the vehicle safely, support it with axle stands. Remove the wheel of the side concerned. First inspect the ABS wheel speed sensor wiring for any possible damage, often rubbed through by contact of the tyre. If wiring is intact then proceed to locate the ABS wheel speed sensor, see picture below. Remove connector (2) from the sensor. I would suggest to spray some WD40 or similar onto the retaining bolt(1) and immediate surrounding area. Let this penetrate for a few minutes. Using a suitable tool remove the retaining bolt and remove the sensor.
Inspect the tip of the sensor for any metal deposits( sensor is magnetic). Shine a torch into the location hole and inspect the reluctor ring for any metallic deposits, damage or rust. See picture below.
Once all cleaned up fit the new sensor and reconnect the wiring connector.
Using a suitable scan tool rescan the vehicle for faults, if ok refit the wheel and road test the vehicle.
