Hello,
This could be due to a faulty crank position sensor.
Over time heat and vibration from the engine can cause malfunction to the crank sensor and the sensor will send error signal to the ECM. This will trigger the ECM to shut off the engine.

When it stalls are you able to start the engine back up?
Many times, when the crank sensor fails it turns on the check engine light. Is your check engine light illuminated?
If it is then having it scanned for codes can help with the diagnostics.

Please let me know of any questing.
Thank you.
