I have pulled all the fuses in the box. My amp meter reads.03, .08, .1, .24, .16, .11 etc. When testing between the positive disconnected cable and the positive battery terminal. What would cause such a variety of readings? I disconnected my ignition switch and I still have a short somewhere.

Good afternoon,

First, you removed the wrong cable. You measure current draw on the system from the negative side. You put the ammeter between the negative cable and the negative post. Then read the draw. It should be 50-75 milli amps.

Thank you for your reply Roy. I tried the connection your way but the reading still fluctuates from.04 to.39. I removed the alternator connection and the ignition module to no avail. Are there any other electronics that could be playing games with me?

You will need to pull the fuses one by one until the reading drops to the spec and is stable.
