Welcome to 2CarPros. What is the issue you are having? Code 43 in the old OBD-I system means the ignition system has a fault and is not responding.
Being a 1996 your van is an OBD-II based unit so a modern code reader will read the correct codes. That would give you much more information. I would start with a code reader and post the codes it gives you here.
