I changed my rear brakes and drums on my car. I noticed the brake cylinders leaking so I replaced them. I bleed the brakes in this order, right rear, left rear, right front, left front. My brakes are spongy and my service light and brake light are both staying on. I read some postings about bleeding sequences. My does not have ABS, I read my sequence should be right rear, left rear, right front, left front. Brake warning lights stay on after replacing rear brakes, drums and brake cylinders.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The sequence does not matter too much so do not get hung up on that it more like the method of bleeding the system that matters most for instance do not pump the brake pedal when bleeding.

Here is a guide to show you the correct way to bleed the system.:

Also check the adjustment on the rear brake shoes which will help as well.

Please let us know what you find.
