The alarm started going off when we unlocked the driver door with the key and would not reset. Tried disconnecting battery, which did not help, key fob is not working either. I tried hooking up the battery charger and closing all doors with key on and letting it set for an hour and security light was off when I went back to vehicle and tried to start it and security system started going off again. Not sure what else to do?

You can try a hard reboot which is done by removing the negative side of the battery, with the cable loose from the negative side of the battery, hold it to the positive terminal for 1 minute this will discharge the memory capacitors in the BCM and PCM allowing the system to reboot.
