2005 Saturn Vue check engine light

My boyfriend took my battery out of my saturn and when he put it back in the engine light came on, how do I turn it off?

When the battery is disconnected the computer loses it's memory therefore requiring a computer relearn or you can take it to Autozone and have them clear it, if the CEL remains lit it has a trouble code/s.
