My fan motor has stopped working. How do I check motor and switch?

Does your fan work at any speed?Do you have a multimeter?

The fan does not work at all on any speed. I do not have a test meter.

All the tests iam going to give you will require a multimeter if you go to autozone and pay them the cost of the tools you can rent them and when your done you return them and they give you a full refund.Let me know when and if you get that multimeter and I'll help you figure this out.The meters are cheap to buy also and handy to have for such an occasion.
