Engine Performance problem
1997 Saturn SL1 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

When I drive my car and I press the brakes too hard my car sometimes shuts off completely and I have stop, put the car in park, take the key out and start it up all over again. It does it sometimes when I slow down too. Whats the problem?

You could have a brake booster leaking vacuum if it only happens when you step on the brake or you could have a bad ground to the brake light's and the ground for the brake light's is stealing ground from somewhere else.I would also make sure your battery cable's are clean and tight and make sure you have your battery and alternator tested.
