Engine Performance problem
1995 Saturn SL1 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 170k miles

This occurs every couple of drives, but not everytime. Anyway, when I I'm driving my car feels like it's running a little rough and when I let up off the gas and then accelerate slightly it feels like the engine jumps a little. After this happens and I stop then the engine idles really low and seems to attempt to idle higher but stalls out and dies. If I crank the car up it idles low and dies. If I crank it but rev the engine up high then it will run fine until the cycle starts over again. I recently had the Throttle Body cleaned hoping to fix the problem, however, it did not help.

Get a can of spray gumout, start the car and spray around, pay attention to vacuum lines and manifold, if the idle changes, you found a leak. You want the engine running and spray on the outside but do direct the stream onto the hoses, if it is a vacuum leak, the engine idle will change speed, then you have detected a leak, repair the vacuum leak and see how it runs!

The other possibilty is the idle air control, it, s bolted to the side of the throttle body.
Is the "service engine soon" light on or flickering?

Lets read the codes then, and post the ones that flash! Cross these two terminals"A" and "B" as shown, then turn the key on. Count the flashes, a 22 will flash as 2 flashes then a short pause, then 2 flashes, if more than one code is stored, the pause will be longer. The codes will display three times and end with 12. Write them down and post here. This connector is right under the middle of the dash...

Paper clip, or a small piece of wire.

Ok I think the codes are
32

blinked 1 time, pause, 2 times, little longer pause, then repeated the same two more times
Then a longer pause
blinked 3 time, pause, 2 times, little longer pause, then repeated the same two more times

Then started over doing the 1, 2 and then 3, 2

Sorry if I didn't do this correctly.

EDIT: After rereading the post I believe the code would just be 32.

32=EGR problem, or MAP sensor voltage low, so check for the EGR sticking open.

Either one would. EGR is the more common problem.
