Sevrice Engine Light

I have a 2000 saturn sl1, I took my car into the shop because the service light came on. It said to replace the coolant sensor, so I did, the light went out and then a few days later it came back on. So I took it back to the shop, they hooked it back up to the computer and there was nothing there? No codes, like there isn't a problem? So then why is the light coming on?
Its a 2000 sl1 with 153000 km on it. Single OHC.

My 1996 saturn sl2 has a bad misfire in it when ever the car is setting in one spot running and while you drive down the road at a certain speed you can barely feel it. The service engine light is blinking to and I had it checked and it just showed a misfire.
