I have a 2000 Saturn SC1 with 64,000 miles, automatic. Whenever I try to start my car it won't start. It takes me five or six trys to get it to turn over. Usually, I am able to start it after reving the engine and immediately going into gear and speeding off. Otherwise, if I don't rev the engine and speed off it stalls out. I have the most trouble in the morning when the car hasn't been ued in several hours. Also, I've noticed that my engine is getting too hot, and I'm thinking that these two problems are connected. I am thinking that I need to replace my EGR valve, but is there anything else that it could be? Do you think it's the EGR valve getting stuck open?
