I've been having trouble with my tires and steering. I have a 2002 Saturn L100 and when I took it in they told me that I needed to have my tai rod replaced. I was quoted $450 just for for labor and $80 for the parts. I think the labor part seems high but I've never had this problem before. Does this seem like a reasonable price for this kind of work?

Labor costs can vary dramatically depending on where you are located. A job in New York City can be much more costly than the same job in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Call a few other places and compare prices. If they are competitive, it is probably reasonable. Shopping around usually is a good thing.
