where is the water pump on a 1997 saturn and does it cost alot to fix?

The waterpump on the 1.9 ltr engine is located on the passenger side, underneath the AC compressor.

The cost of the repair depends on what part of the world you live in. In my neck of the woods the cost would be around $150.00 from an independent repair shop. Dealer prices could be as much as twice that.

If you can do it yourself you could get away with around $30.00 for the pump, another $10.00 for antifreeze, plus time.
